Impact protection
With an immensely strong body shell including integral side impact bars which create a reinforced passenger cell and a cut-off device for the fuel system on impact, the Berlingo is a robust performer.
The driver is protected from the load in the van by a sturdy ladder frame bulkhead. Handy use is made of this structure with a coat-hook attached.
The Berlingo also features anti-submarining seats (seats swabs which resist inertia/traveling forward on impact).
Head rests are height adjustable to minimize the effects of whip lash in accidents.
