The new Citroën C5 is equipped with: ABS, to avoid the wheels locking under braking; EBD, which evenly distributes braking force between all wheels; EBA, to reduce stopping distances under emergency braking; and ESP, which maintains vehicle stability in steering manoeuvres. ESP also comes with ASR traction control, which improves traction and can help the driver maintain control even if the limit of adhesion is inadvertently reached while cornering.
Enhancing both safety and comfort, the electronic park brake engages and disengages automatically. It is linked to the engine torque on application to ensure it is always engaged with the required strength to hold the vehicle.
