Start the engine in the new C5 and you barely feel any vibrations. That's because the engine vibrations are countered by computer-controlled pneumatic engine mounts. Virtually every function of the C5 is monitored and controlled by three digital computer networks. 

The new C5 ensures minimal CO2 levels by cutting pollutant emissions with its electronically controlled high-pressure direct injection diesel engines. Both engine types are equipped with a diesel particle filter system, which eliminates particle emissions.

The automatic 6 speed sequential gearbox allows the driver to choose freely between a fully automatic mode, that adapts to the driving style of the driver and the sequential function allowing for manual changes if required.
